The newest edition to the Kaleidoscope All Star series is quite impressive. The A-Side starts with “Alright”, another Filter Freaks slammer! Clever bass riffs, computer blips, a popular vocal hook, and an intense build all make up this tasty track. By the end of this one, you’ll be wondering if YOU are alright. A-Side closes with the debut of Kaleiodoscope’s newest member, DJ Self. This one is titled, “Crazy Voice”. If you want something a little different, you got it. DJ Self combines Chicago house elements, hard house samples, and a 4X4 breakdown in the middle all make up an excellent debut for DJ Self. Flip side contains “Nitrous Oxide”, another DJ Self track, this one a little more on the funky tip, using time-stretched vocals and intelligent sample programming. B-Side wraps up with another All Star Breakers jam entitled, “Loose Your Mind”. On the more chill-funky tip, this one puts you in a trance with rolling funky bass lines throughout. Once again, another well-rounded All Star release.

The tenth installment of the All Star series is good as it gets. The All Star Breakers taking you on a progressive ride with “Rip The Mic”. This one is filled with superb programming, funky bass, and a thick synth build. This one is an epic masterpiece. Inside cut is DJ Fixx’s latest, “Like This”. Another funky breaks track filled with plenty of hip-hop samples, 808, and Fixx’s signature bass lines. Depth Charge, the new Hard House duo on the Kaleidoscope label, starts out the A-Side with “Rock the Beat”, a hard pounding thrill ride. This one’s got so much energy, you’ll have trouble keeping up. Insider is another mix of the popular Filter Freaks hit, “Hang On”.

Red 009 Number nine in the All Star series. To kick things off, Rythmic Bliss drops “Move Me”, another progressive breaks journey from the Kaleidoscope artist. Thick pads, quick arpeggios, and excellent programming make up this one. Next is a harder, funkier mix of the Filter Freaks bomb, “I’m a Freak”. If you thought the first release was slammin’, just wait until you hear this edit. B-Side starts out with the newest from the GLF Massive, “Soul Searcher”. Huda and Wednesday are back again throwing down some vicious jungle. To wrap things up is a Breakin’ Down remix of “What’s Up” by the All Star Breakers. Like the drum track mix of this one before, this mix contains a THICK synth riff in the climax. A must for your box.
